I sat there unable to think. Unable to speak. Why is this happening? Why? Why can’t I breathe? I hugged my knees in futile attempt to comfort myself. My body shook, my mind rocked back and forth. There’s no comfort here. None. Only the footsteps.

I looked up. Everyone. They stood there silently, gazing down at me with cold, sharp eyes. I held back the tears, slowly extending my shaking hand. Please.. help.. please.. don’t leave me behind.. One by one, they slowly turned away from me. Turning toward the void that controlled this.. this.. nightm
